Nantucket Dance Theater is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the Nantucket Dance Festival, set to captivate audiences from July 9th to July 14th, 2024, for its second consecutive year. Following the resounding success of last year's festival, which showcased a diverse array of dance genres, the Co-Artistic Directors, Lauren Lovette and Lauren King, are poised to elevate the event to new heights.

Featuring a mix of genres from ballet to tap to street dance, our festival offers an expansive view of different expressions of the art form, providing the audience with insight into the different ways emotions can be expressed through movement. With gracious acknowledgment of the work done by the local Atheneum to support dance in the past, NDT's festival directly supports young dancers on the island and the artists who inspire them.

​The Nantucket Dance Festival 2024 promises to exceed the high expectations they set last year. Co-Artistic Directors Lauren Lovette and Lauren King are collaborating with an even more diverse lineup of world-class artists, incorporating live music, and expanding the repertoire of dance styles to create an unparalleled experience for dance enthusiasts and the Nantucket community.
The Nantucket Nutcracker
Nantucket Dance Theater is proud to sponsor the 10th annual Nantucket Nutcracker. Featuring local youth dancers, the Nantucket Nutcracker, is a shorter, family-friendly version of the beloved holiday classic.
Join Clara as she encounters dancing snowflakes, candies, and life-sized dolls. Whether this is the first Nutcracker or your 50th it is sure to captivate. Let the music of Tchaikovsky paired with dancers of all ages transport your family into the magical land of the sweets.

Guest Artist Residency
We are thrilled to welcome two exceptional guest artists to lead our intensive:
Sara Brians: With a career spanning over two decades, Sara Brians has established herself as a prominent figure in the dance world. A versatile artist, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her classes. Sara has collaborated with renowned choreographers, performed on Broadway and as a Rockette, and contributed to various film and television productions. Selected Broadway credits include 42nd Street, Billy Elliot and Matilda. Teaching faculty credits include The Juilliard School, New York University, Pace University and New York City’s pre-eminent dance studios: Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center.
Kendall Walker: Kendall Walker is known for her innovative choreography and captivating performances. She was a member for Emma Portner’s contemporary dance company, Flock’d, was the Associate Choreographer for The Wizard of Friendship Off-Broadway, and recently danced for the band, Phish, in their New Year’s Eve concert at Madison Square Garden. Her unique approach to movement and storytelling adds a fresh perspective to our intensive.
